DMCA & Copyright

How to report a copyright concern at GujoAnimes: use our contact form, include the details listed here, and learn how counter-notices work.

We respect the work of creators. Anime exists because artists, writers, studios, and publishers pour years into it, and as a fan site, the last thing we want is to step on their rights. This page explains how we handle copyright, and how to reach us if you believe something on GujoAnimes infringes your work.

Our Approach to Copyright

Everything on GujoAnimes is original: our own words, our own generated artwork, and names invented by our generators. We don’t publish official screenshots, poster art, episode transcripts, or other copyrighted material, and we don’t host downloads of any kind. We also take care with names and references: our generators invent original names rather than reproducing characters’ names, and our guides describe series in our own words.

That said, mistakes happen. If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, tell us and we’ll look into it promptly.

How to Report a Concern

Send your report through our contact form, it’s the fastest way to reach the team, and it keeps every report in one place. We don’t publish an email address, so the form is the right channel.

What to Include in Your Report

To help us act quickly, please include:

  1. What you own, describe the copyrighted work (your artwork, text, or other content).
  2. Where it appears on our site, the exact page URL and what on the page concerns you.
  3. How to reach you, a name and a way to contact you about the report.
  4. A good-faith statement, that you believe, in good faith, the use wasn’t authorized by you, your agent, or the law.
  5. An accuracy statement, that the information in your report is accurate, and that you’re authorized to act for the copyright owner.

The more specific you are, the faster we can review.

What Happens Next

We review every report by hand. If content on our site does infringe, we’ll remove or change it promptly. Straightforward cases are usually resolved quickly. More complex ones may take longer while we look into the details, but we’ll keep you posted through the contact details you gave us. If we need more information, we’ll ask through the contact details you provided.

Counter-Notices

If your content was removed because of a report and you believe the removal was a mistake, for example, the material is original or you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice through the same contact form. Include what was removed, where it appeared, why you believe the removal was wrong, and your contact details. We’ll review it fairly.

Fan Content and Good Faith

GujoAnimes is a fan project, and we know fan communities thrive on good faith from both sides. We’ll always assume a report is made honestly, and we ask reporters to do the same for us: check that the concern is real before sending it. Frivolous or bad-faith reports don’t help anyone.

A Note for Fans

Fan creativity is part of what makes anime communities special, and this site exists to support it. Our tools are built so fans can create: invent character names, take quizzes, and share results with friends. If you’re a creator worried about your own work, the process above is here for you too. Respect runs both ways.
