Why anime character names often start with certain letters

Japanese has no L, Q, V or X sounds in native words, so names starting with those letters usually belong to Western-style or katakana characters (Levi, Violet, Xellos). Native Japanese names cluster around letters like H, K, M, S, T and Y, the start of common syllables such as ha, ka, ma, sa, ta and yu.
